AE Interest:  “In 2012, Archea won the competition, held between invited teams, to develop 200 hectares of Beijing’s Yanqing County for a wine show that would be part of the 11th International Conference on Grapevine Breeding and Genetics [a];” master plan includes artificial lakes, greenhouses, museums, gardens, a visitor center, landscape towers and bridges; a lot of curvilinear structures – reflecting the shape of grapes; traditional Chinese bricks, corten steel, and concrete surfaces shaped into bas-reliefs and sculptures [c]; “The entire project was designed following the criteria of sustainability, respect for the environment and the preservation of natural resources [b].
