City Hall New Entrance  City Hall Old Entrance

Building: Saint Roch-de-l’Archigan City Hall
Location: Quebec, Canada
Architects: Affleck de la Riva Architects
Design Architect: Richard de la Riva
Project Manager: Richard de la Riva
Structural/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineer: Leroux Beaudoin Hurens
Year: 2012

AE Interests: The city hall was originally a convent built in 1881. The project creates a dialogue between the restored heritage building and a contemporary addition housing a new entry lobby, elevator and stair-tower. Combining artisanal materials with contemporary materials, the addition provides a spacious, naturally lit lobby and up-to-date vertical circulation.
