Building: Dee & Charles Wyly Theater
Location: 2401 Flora Street, Dallas, TX 75201
Architect: Rem Koolhaas of OMA and Joshua Prince-Ramus of REX (OMA NY)
Architect of Record: Kendall/Heaton Associates, Inc.
Structural Engineer: Magnusson Klemencic Associates
General Construction: McCarthy
Mechanical Engineers: Cosentini Associates and Transsolar
Completed 2009

AE Interest: Motorized system to raise/lower seating and floor system for varied theatre arrangements. Ground level opens up on 3-sides to outside plaza, Wyly-green color at all hazard areas creates color motif for building. High-strength concrete angled columns create open corner of building, extruded aluminum “curtain” on exterior.  `
