The Shard is the tallest building in London, and the 2nd tallest building in Europe (2013) at a height of 306 metres (1,004 feet) and contains luxury office spaces, hotels, high-end apartments, restaurants, a five-story viewing gallery, and a spa.

AE Interest: Slip-form construction, top-down construction, glass curtain wall, double-skin, complex crane-construction technique, expressive architectural concept.
