Location: United Arab Emirates
Status: Completed end of 2009
Architect: Skidmore, Owings and Merrill
Engineer: Bill Baker at SOM
Structural Engineer: Ahmad Abdelrazaq (from SOM now working for Samsung)
Built by: Turner, Samsung, Besix, Arabtec, Grocon, Bauer AG, Middle East Foundations, Otis, Lerch Bates, Schmidlin, Al Naboodah, Laing O’Rourke

AE Interests: skyscraper, currently the world’s tallest building at 2,717 feet (818 meters). Conceptually designed as a giant cantilever. Concrete core, 3 primary flanges, with stepping masses around the core (spiraling toward the top).  `
